About Richard McCallum
Richard McCallum, known as Dickie, is the Director of Loveday Advisory.
Between 2022 and 2025 he was the Group CEO of the UK India Business Council. Previously he was the Managing Director and Vice Chair of UKIBC India.
Dickie is one of a very small group of British expatriates who have spent two decades building and managing businesses in India. He has a deep understanding of the UK-India economic corridor, and bilateral corporate agendas within that corridor.
He specialises in promoting collaboration between British and Indian company in defence manufacturing. He is currently a Senior Advisor to UIKIBC, overseeing UKIBC’s defence group – which he launched at UKIBC in 2019. In addition, Dickie specialises in the Space and Energy Transition sectors.
Dickie started his career with John Swire & Sons, seconded to roles with Cathay Pacific Airways Limited in Hong Kong, Karachi and New Delhi. Prior to joining UKIBC, Dickie founded and ran an adventure tourism start-up in India.
